Pet Portraits sketched in soft pastels, created with love
While recovering from ill health I decided I needed a hobby to focus on.
As a child I had always enjoyed drawing, so I bought some pastel pencils, took a photo of my son's dog and started drawing… and that's where it all began.
I discovered I wasn't too bad at it and I really enjoyed the calming nature of the process. I carried on by drawing all the family's pets including dogs, cats and even a harvest mouse which a friend had taken a photo of.
Since then animals have always been my passion. Each portrait I draw is entirely by hand and I focus on capturing the likeness and spirit of your pet. I particularly enjoy the eyes as I feel they are the soul of the picture.
I take a small number of personal commissions each month so your picture receives the attention it deserves — a portrait you will want to keep for a lifetime.
